Margarita Elizabeth Rose Alleyne Armstrong-Jones was born on May 14, 2002. She is the only daughter and youngest child of David Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley and his wife, the Honorable Serena Stanhope. She’s a second cousin to Prince William. Margarita was named after her paternal grandmother, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon and her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, both of whom died just before her birth. Her Royal Highness, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon is Queen Elizabeth’s younger sister. She was born on August 21, 1930 and she died on  February 9, 2002. When her father, King George VI became King, her older sister Queen Elizabeth became heir presumptive and that made Margaret second in line to the throne. On May 6, 1960 she married photographer and film maker, Antony Armstrong-Jones, the son of a barrister. The following her he was created Earl of Snowdon. The couple had two children. David, Viscount Linley (born on November 3, 1961) Lady Sarah (born on May 1, 1964)  Her marriage
